It was a rainy day out here and no one seems to care. Well, I also don’t care and let’s not talk about who cares what! :)
So anyways, I’m talking about my daily observations (observations, eh?) upon looking at some random teenager like ME. Weee! (P.S. Scratch the WEEE part. It annoys me.)
I've been a teenager in this very IMPOSSIBLE world for almost 3 years or so and I've been meeting different TEENAGERS for almost 3 years also (duh?). So, I guess informations on my mind is quite enough to share any thoughts about THEM, I mean, US.
EYES open. Fingers, ON.
SHE is a type of teenager who talks MUCH. In short, a person who loves to chitchat or a 'chikadora' in Tagalog. She shares everything she knew and, maybe, she adds additional add-ons on her 'chikka' that makes them a made-up story (in which many misunderstandings occur a minute later). Most certainly, before she could open her big **** mouth, she opens her ears as wide as anyone could imagine to listen to her NOT very reliable source or she could even eavesdrop at someone just to have something to SHARE with her amigas (*smirk). After hearing, the nerve signal sends them to her brain and in a big *FLASH*, her mouth opened as widely as possible (with a very horrible smell, gross) and the gossip spread althroughout the world. (sad)
Many of her listeners (or her FOLLOWERS that may be the same as her) would be SHOCKED, SURPRISED, HAPPY, SAD, etc. about her latest chikka. But most certainly, forgetting about their nonsense reaction, and focusing on the person bein' talked about. I am certain that the chikka they've been talking about would be a great fuss to the person affected or shall we call the VICTIM of the evil CHIKKA QUEEN (the queen of all the LIES) :).
But, good thing a TEEN like her learns a lesson after her stupid hobby. And I know, that lesson would be worse than what she did. It would be lesson that will teach her to NEVER do it again.
Why SHE? Simply because girls are the number one in GOSSIP. Boys aren't interested anyways. Except, if he is at the middle. Female ? Male. Are you that type?
Let's jump to another type of teenager. Let's talk about the loners, the indifferent or the EMOs. I dont really hate EMOs but I hate what they are doing. I love their style, yes, but I really hate the way they are acting. They
are OA and strange. They sit at the corner and think aobut something or cry about something. Sometimes, they want to suicide. Like, duh! Life is so important. They shouldn't waste it! If their only reason for doing that is because of heartaches, why wont they come to me so I'll be the one to kill them? (JOKES!) I mean they should get over with it and live their lives to the fullest! If they don't, then why live in the first place? Are you that type?
Next type of teenager is the funny type. I love these types of teenager. They are my medicine for any of my problems because they always makes you laugh. Their happy smiles brighten your day and they are always positive about life. But sometimes, they are annoying. They also hurt others' feelings. They could be a fun type but be careful of them, you could be their victim! Are you that type?
Next type of a teenager is a stupid type. They are so stupid that you really wanna kick their butts to the highest level! (LOL) I can't blame stupid people for being stupid because they are really stupid in nature. They are just sometimes annoying because they hardly get your point! And that really sucks! I hate explaining things over and that's what makes me wanna eliminate stupid teens! Are you that type?
This type of teenager is a geek type. I love this type beause they are the source of my answers. Hahaha. Just kiddin'. I love them because they are smart and they are willing to share his/her knowledge. But I have to warn you, they are sensitive. I hate talking much with them because they might correct my information. Hahah. It's a shame! Are you that type?
This type of teenager is a serious type. They are very serious in all fields. They concentrate on what they are doing and they set aside some fun. These types annoys me sometimes because they are hot-tempered when touched. So, I can never fool with them cause they are serious. Are you that type?
Actually, there are many types of teens right now and I could hardly remember all. So I am now sharing the last type (my type).
The anime addict type. I am an anime fanatic. It's hard to believe that teenagers still gets crazy to this. But I still believe that many teens are anime addicts. My proofs? Well, I encountered many different teens in the world through net. When I am watching animes online, I met many teenagers who gets crazy over the scenes and they crave to see more episodes! So, I bet anime addict type is also a common type of teenager. Animes are really fun and you really want to watch it because of the romantic scenes, the funny scenes and the action scenes. Sometimes, we anime addicts are annoying (for others who are not). It is because we always talk about it and the ones who don't know any about it feels out of place. So they are annoyed. Some are also annoyed with the mimicking of the other boys. They are like fools who plays childishly in front of everyone. It's as if they are on the other dimension of the universe. Are you that type?
Those are the types of teenagers I know and I am incredibly sorry for using some photos of you. If your photo is there, it means that you are that type of teenager. Feel honored to be there.
That would be all. This is just an introduction. Feel free to read the other posts I have! Just don't laugh at my spellings and grammars. Nobody's perfect you know.
Thanks for reading.

how sweet!
When a girl is mean to you after a break-up, she wants you back but she is too scared she'll get hurt and knows you're gone forever.
When you catch a girl glancing at you, she wants you to look back and smile.
When a girl bumps into your arm, while walking with you she wants you to hold her hand.
When she wants a hug she will just stand there.
When you break a girl's heart she still feels it when you run into each other 3 years later.
When a girl is quiet, millions of things are running through her mind.
When a girl is not arguing, she is thinking deeply.
When a girl looks at you with eyes full of questions, she is wondering how long you will be around.
When a girl answers, "I'm fine," after a few seconds, SHE IS NOT FINE AT ALL.
When a girl stares at you, she is wondering why you are playing games.
When a girl lays her head on your chest, she is wishing for you to be hers forever.
When a girl says she can't live without you, she has made up her mind that you are her future.
When a girl says, "I miss you," no one in this world can miss you more than that.
When a guy calls you, he wants to be with you.
When a guy is quiet, he's listening to you.
When a guy is not arguing, he realizes he's wrong.
When a guy says, "I'm fine" after a few minutes, he means it.
When a guy stares at you, he wishes you would care about him and wonders if you do.
When you're laying your head on a guy's chest, he has the world. (LOL!)
When a guy calls/texts/comments/messages you everyday, he is in love.
When a (good) guy tells you he loves you, he means it.
When a guy says he can't live without you, he's with you till your done.
When a guy says, "I miss you," he misses you more than you could have ever missed him or anything else.

ADOLESCENCE
9:14 AM
Adolescence is a part of teenage life. And I don’t wanna discuss about this further cause I know that you already know what this means and what changes you will develop in your body (and I’m also not good in Science so bare with it okay? Anyways, I’m not discussing about adolescence, duh!).
Let me tell you about the development of each inches of my body, mind and personality.
I just noticed that my breast hurts when bumped when I was a grade 3. I really don’t know why but my mother told me that I am starting to develop my breast. I was shocked by that fact. It was a really sensitive topic to begin with. But, now I know that all of us will experience this (boys excluded). When I was in 6th grade, pubic hairs are starting to grow (this is really a very sensitive topic, but just bear with it). I was surprised and intimidated. I was so shy!!! I hate having this. But then, again, my mother told me that it’s a part of growing up (I still don’t understand why!). I began to get conscious when I was a first year (when I was an elementary, I’m still carefree and I still don’t care of the world, haha). I don’t know why but I am keeping my changes a secret to my mother. I always look at the mirror to check my appearance and I always make sure that I look good. I also watch my mouth and I really acted girly (which was weird for me to be). So, years gone by and I realized that it’s a part of being a teenager (the sudden changes). I also noticed some of my companions changes that made them look more mature. I changed really fast time after time. I just realized that I really looked mature and acts mature. But right now, I still want to be called CUTE that’s why I still act cute. Maybe that’s also part of being a teenager (to feel CUTE?). Although we matured, we still have this childish mind. So anyways, it’s also part of the teens (girls) to have menstruation. I’ll not discuss about this because I told you that I’m not good in science! Anyways, the girls release the dirt in their body through this so it’s very significant to us girls. I was shocked to find this out (my FIRST day). I was also afraid of blood so I cried. My mother explained to me why this happened so I slowly understand clearly why girls experience this.
I’ll not tell you the details of my sudden metamorphosis because it’s a really sensitive topic. Just let me tell you to not be surprised in any changes in your body, personality and anything. Just think that you matured, but don’t forget that teenagers are still young!

LiFE of a BROKEN
9:10 AM
Being broken is the most painful part of being a teenager. Many of us fall in love with a certain person, but in the end, we end up suffering being in HELL.
Why is a certain person broken? What would be the possible reason? Probably, breaking up, being REJECTED, being played of and many other reasons.
Let’s start with breaking UP.
Breaking UP is the most painful thing a person ever experienced. They may break up for a reason that they wished it’s not or the other guy/girl broke up with him/her because he/she already found another. It’s really painful to experience this kind of hell. But we can’t help it! Falling inlove is unavoidable. You immediately have the feeling instantly and that’s the most hateful part. Why can’t we avoid falling inlove? Why does love easily fades away? Why does there are some playful person who plays the heart of a person?
Well, that’s part of a TEENAGER. A teenager falls inlove easily. They never thought of whatever future may be, as long as they have the one they love. They never thought about the future that awaits and the consequences that will happen. They just FALL. That’s part of being a TEENAGER. It’s also part of being a teenager that a certain TEEN is playing the feelings of the other. We are carefree and we want to have fun with our life! Sometimes, we want to compete how many gfs/bfs we have, or even we test or charisma or we want to have a companion wherever we go. Unfortunately, that’s also a part of being a teenager. It’s also a part of a teenager to be ignorant of LOVE. Love never fades as long as it’s true. So, if someone told you that his/her love faded, then in the beginning, that person never DID love you. Maybe, he/she has a guess that MAYBE he/she loves you. Or maybe he/she just like you or idolized you. Like or appreciation is not the same as LOVE. Anyways, teens are still young to enter the world of LOVE. Sometimes, some teens thought that they love each other very much that the girl gave everything to the guy. Like having SEX. Many teens nowadays experienced this. Because of ignorance, they thought that giving ones whole self would prove your love for the certain person. After doing this, when the ‘love’ that you thought bore, you broke up with each other and do the abortion (mostly, the guy decides to do this). So where is love? The guy would never break up with you because you both decided to do IT and part of your decision was to accept the consequences because you thought you LOVE each other. Those were the mistakes the TEENS regret. But, it’s part of being a TEENAGER of being ignorant. So, being broken is significant.
Let me tell you about a broken friend.
My friend always tells me that she really loves that person because he is very handsome. She said that it was love at first sight. I just nodded my head to show that I agree. I really agree with her because he’s always our topic (and it honestly annoys me). I am happy for her because she’s already in love at a very young age (she’s still 14). And I’ve never experience that (I wish I had). Then one day, that guy courted her. It surprised me though, but I am happy for her. Then again, HE is again our main topic. I’m kinda annoyed but I am really happy to see her smile brightly (I wish I could smile that much!). But one day, she called me by her phone (many load, eh?), she told me “He broke up with me!”. I could sense that she cried although she hides it. I don’t know the reason why because all her stories were so POSITIVE that you would hardly think that their relationships will end. But then, she admitted that she never mentioned her doubts about him. She told me that his ex boyfriend was a recent playboy. She knows about that and even though she knows that that guy will hurt him, she still said yes. I am very shocked with her revelation and I finally realized that love can make you fool. Because you really love that certain person, you would do anything to have him. That’s what she did even though she knows the consequences that will come. I don’t know if it’s really love that she is having. I really thought that it’s just LIKE. But I don’t know, up until now, she still loves him and she told me that she will wait for him ‘til the end of time. She will never love anyone but him. She’ll be contented with her life seeing him happy. If that will happen, it’s LOVE at all. She cried so hard after telling me what’s inside her. She almost wanna die. But, she still wants to see him happy before she dies (what a strong girl). I just let her cry ‘til she gets tired. Right now, she’s a bit different than before. She became a loner and she also stopped talking about him (it would hurt her more). So, that may be the experience of a broken person. It’s really like hell.
I don’t wanna experience what my friend experienced. It’s like hell. But, I know that it’s a part of being a teenager so I have to face it! I just have to prepare myself of experiencing this so that I would not be too surprised of experiencing hell.
So, if you’ve been broken for some reason, I suggest that you should move on with your life. Don’t be like my friend. Don’t change your whole life because of that certain someone. You’ll never find your REAL mate if you’ll be a loner forever. Have a life and leave those feelings behind (if you can do it). If you really can’t do it, I don’t know what you should do. Some suggest that you should find another cause love comes and happens anytime. Have a great time with your life and don’t waste it somewhere else.
If you have never been broken, just be prepared of your incoming destiny. We, teenagers are destined to be broken. So, be prepared, that’s all I could say.
That’s all. Have a very wonderful love life!

FRiENDSHIP never FAILS
9:04 AM
Do ever feel like breaking down? Do you ever feel out of place? Like somehow you just don’t belong and no one understands you?
Well, never in my life that I experienced asking myself those questions above. I am never lonely. I have my COMPANIONS- my friends.
Yes, my friends, my real, true friends.
My friends are the one who shows me how good my life is. They are the main ingredient of my laughter. They are the doctors of my soul. They are my teachers of my wisdom. They are my power to move on. They are everything I need to fulfill my WHOLE.
Now, let’s get to the point.
A teenager is not a teenager without a FRIEND. Teenagers are like foods that needs ingredients. You are not identified a TEEN if you miss any ingredient of your life. You can never be called a teen without FRIENDS. Being a teenager doesn’t mean JUST being 13, 14, 15,16,17,18 and 19. It’s not about the age, it’s about the WHOLE. Age is just another ingredient.
Why do you need a FRIEND to become a teenager?
Let me tell you something that a WITH friends VS WITHOUT friends TEEN.
WITH friends:
A teenager has friends whom she can share her feelings, smiles and tears with. She can express herself with them and share what’s inside her heart that she can never share in her family. She can laugh with them that makes her forget her problems and her friends can help her solve the problem she is facing. She can cry in front of them and confide whatever problems she has. She can freely borrow their shoulders and cry ‘til the last tear drops.
WITHOUT friends:
That teenager has no one to share her feelings, smiles and tears. She can’t express her feelings to anyone that makes her heart burst out in pain. She’s like a fool talking to a weird doll or even a wall. She can never smile freely because no one shares her smile. She will absolutely look like a fool when she smiles for an unknown reason. She can never be comforted by someone because she has no shoulder to lean on. There will be no last drop in her tears because her tears will never stop.
That’s how I differentiate a no friend and a with friend teen. I will never consider a no friend person as a teenager because accordingly, a person NEEDS a friend to fully become a teenager.
So, don’t be too shy to have some. If you don’t have any, find some. Find someone whom you can trust and never doubt that friend. You need her anytime. If you still don’t have a friend (someone you can trust), then you’ll never become a FULL TEENAGER.
Let me tell you the good feeling of having a FRIEND.
Actually, I have tons of friends. But, I don’t trust all of them. I only trust my real, true bestfriends.
I have a group called SCANT which has a meaning behind. The first letter of our names are combined that formed SCANT.
I have the best group of all. The best pals of all. They are the ones whom I trust and I never doubted their loyalty and trust towards me. They are my guardian angel, they are my doctors, my power, my strength and everything. They never fail to complete my day. A day without them would really suck.
My friends are my whole. So, here I am, narrating some happy and sad events of our lives.
Laugh TIME
“Let’s watch movie at our house!”, my friend shouted. “Sure!”, we agreed. Then, we went there and watched movies together. “Waaaa! He’s so funny!” We all laughed out loud. “Ahahahahaha.”, my friend continued. “Hey! Stop laughing! There goes your monkey-like laugh!” “Ahahahahahha”. This ends the laughing.
Friends are your laugh buddy. They are always there to laugh with you.
Fearsome TIME
“Gawd! I’m afraid to go home alone. It scares me. Let’s request the driver to send us all together. Let’s just pay him double!”my friend requested. “Sure thing!” When the drivers don’t accept our request, we just looked for another vehicle. While waiting, we saw a police-looking vehicle called wangwang. We hid at some bushes. We then realized that it wasn’t a wangwang. It’s just an ordinary vehicle! We all laughed. It made us feel better and we really forgot about being scared.
Friends are like our savior in our fears.
Problematic TIME
“Guys, I think I lost my feelings for HIM.”, our friend admitted. “WHAAAAAATTTT???”, we reacted. One of my friends made a decision to gather us all 5 to talk about my friend’s problem. Since its summer, we met really often. So it’s time for us to update on each other’s life. “Girl, don’t do anything you aren’t sure. Maybe you just often see him that’s why you thought you lost your feelings for him. Just be strong. He’s a good catch anyway. You’ll turn gold into a stone. You’ll regret someday.” we suggested. “Geee! Thanks guys!”
Friends erase our doubts and problems.
-ENDS
I am new in this group of friends. They are friends since elementary and I am just a new comer. But, I am happy to be trusted right away. I am honored to be welcomed in the group. I am happy that I accepted them as my friends because I’ll never be what I am now without them.
That would be all. Fill your teenage life with one of the ingredients – FRIENDS. Live your life to the fullest with them and thank God for having them.

BOYS over DOTA or DOTA over BOYS?
9:01 AM
DOTA, DOTA, DOTA. What is DOTA?
All I know about Dota is that it is a computer game that BOYS crave to play.
So what’s with this DOTA?
When I was a second year student, I was curious about this DOTA thing. It annoys me everytime I hear my classmates talking about the “HERO” thing or whatsoever.
So, does it means that being addicted to DOTA is part of being a TEENAGER?
I agree with that statement. Part of US, teenagers wanna have FUN and enjoy life to the fullest. We wanna hang-out with our friends and through that game, you can develop friendship and sportsmanship.
Part of a being a TEENAGER is being PROUD. Sometimes, we want to prove our strength or ability to others. Mostly, BOYS are the proud ones. They want to prove their ability through DOTA. They were showy and wants to be hailed as someone good at DOTA.
Though playing DOTA is part of being a TEENAGER, abusing your free time is not good. There are many disadvantages in playing DOTA (personal views):
1. It’s a waste of time and money. Because you are playing the whole time, you forgot to do what you should prioritize and it usually ends up cramming. While you are playing the whole time, the price is increasing. You’ll almost spend your whole allowance just to play DOTA. It’s not good.
2. It destructs your schooling. Sometimes, your head is filled up with DOTA. You daydream everytime and forgets the lessons. Sometimes, you cut class to play. Sometimes, you don’t listen with the discussion. Instead, you disucss with your playmate about DOTA and what should you do with your tournament.
3. It creates chaos. Sometimes, you starts with a fight with somebody because you loss the game. You also complain about what your enemy (in DOTA) did. You always say “It’s unfair” that makes the whole situation complicated. It also destroys friendship.
4. It destroys your eyes. Facing the computer screen for how many hours will destroy your eyes. Someday, you’ll wear glass which is very expensive.
5. It worries your parents.
There are many disadvantages of playing this computer game. But what can we do? It’s a part of being a teenager.
Many of my classmates or friends are addicted to this. I hate seeing them getting addicted with this. Their grades are getting low and their concentration is getting lost. Their allowances just gone by in a flash and sometimes, they got a problem with their tummy (because they don’t eat snacks to save their money for the game).
I really don’t understand the reason why my friends and classmates got addicted to this. But, I really suggest to anyone who hasn’t played this game to not try it. It would be bad. If you’ll get addicted with this, your future would be dark. Just ignore this and have fun with other stuffs.
And for those who are addicted with this game, just PLAY but don’t abuse your FREE time in playing this. Just play maybe once or twice a week. It’s not really BAD to play this game. Just don’t use too much of your time playing this.

ENVIRONMENTAL TEENS
8:56 AM
How could a TEENAGER be an environmentalist? As far as I know, environmental TEENS are so out of fashion. GROSS. As if I’m gonna be one! NEVER.
That was my statement before I started to become a teenage environmentalist. Yes, I am now an environmentalist. It was a shame to tell you that I never want to be an environmentalist before. The reason behind it is because being one is like an old hag, thinking about whatever happens and blahblahblah. It was boring and I wanna have all the FUN in my life. I hate thinking what happens in the future (at least before). So, it’s a bit old-fashioned and out of sense. My mind also thought that “Anyways, let’s leave the nature to the OLDs, they have the knowledge so let them take the responsibility. Why wont they leave us TEENS alone?”. It was really funny to tell you what my mind was talking about and I am sorry for the OLD ones who are reading this entry right now for what I’ve said before.
So, let’s go back to the MAIN topic and my MAIN POINT here.
I am talking about the TEENAGERS who are members of the YES-O. Each school has an organization called YES-O which means YOUTH for ENVIRONMENT in SCHOOL’S ORGANIZATIONS.
I’ve been a member of it since first year. But I became an OFFICIAL member of it since I joined the YES Camp in Dumaguete last year.
My first camp, which was in Dumaguete was actually FUN. Everything was good and please allow me to tell you my experiences in a story-like-way-of-talking manner.
“Who will join the YES Camp in Dumaguete? The payment was blahblahblah”. Sir Pelagio announced in our class in which nobody seems to care at all. I turned my head to the right while our Environmental Science teacher was talking. I chatted with my classmate and I ignored what that effin teacher was saying. I mean, I really don’t care at ALL. So, what’s the point in listening? So blahblah, I talked and talked and talked until “Sam Concepcion will be there…” Sam Concepcion…Sam Concepcion…SAM…SAM…SAM will be there? I was astounded to what our teacher said and even though it’s very clear, I made him repeat what he just said. “YES, Sam Concepcion WILL be there!” After hearing those words, my mind shouted out loud saying “Seeing Sam Concepcion LIVE? It’s a MUST to go there.” So I asked our teacher AGAIN and AGAIN for details and that is the beginning of my story of becoming an environmentalist (though, my purpose was just to see SAM in person).
Well, I have to admit, the DepEd really made a great choice to choose Sam Concepcion as their Youth Spokesperson because he encourages US teens to join YES Camp because of his very GOOD-LOOKING appearance.
So, in a blink of an eye, I arrived, I mean we arrived at the Dumaguete. The place was good. Yes, yes.
So now, let’s stop my story-telling HERE. I will now tell you my SHOCKING but GREAT experiences here in Dumaguete, I mean THERE in Dumaguete.
THOUSANDS of us TEENS joined this said camp. Since it was my first time, I was ignorant of everything. I really mean EVERYTHING that happens around. At least, I adjusted quite fast as the time goes by. I saw different teens – friendly type, serious type, old-looked type, snob type, aloof type, stupid type, smart type and all the types in the world. Different people, different personalities. That was on my mind that time when I was wandering around.
So, many activities occurred and many ENVIRONMENTAL ENCOURAGEMENTS are done for us to be encouraged. How boring. That was always on my mind. Sam Concepcion was still the talk of my mind that time.
But, after this ACTIVITY which was called the YOUTH RALLY, I was astounded. All of us gathered around with the same SMILE. That was a very shocking event. Seeing all different types of people sharing the same HAPPY SMILE, it really astounded me. I really can’t believe that everyone was happy to help the environment. I really can’t believe that everyone was thinking of the FUTURE. I wanna ask them why are you doing this? Doing this was really OLD. But then I’ve come to realize that everyone was thinking of the future. Everyone wants a bright future. Everyone wants to make the future people SMILE as bright as they can do. It was a great fulfillment into their heart thinking about the happy faces of the future people.
So, as I was thinking about the future when I got home, I came up with a decision. I want to make the future people SMILE as what the TEENS in the youth rally showed me. I am having a very fresh feeling upon thinking of what GOOD could possibly be done by us that will make the FUTURE people smile. I jumped in excitement as I saw a vision of my sons and daughters smiling at me and I declared that starting that day, I would SAVE the ENVIRONMENT for the smile of the FUTURE.
So what I was telling was that TEENAGERS are not at all carefree and they are not the one who destroys the environment. Many people are blaming them for environmental problems. Why? Because they are carefree? They are young and ignorant? Well, I should disagree that the TEENAGERS are the one causing problems. In fact, they are the one who take actions in order to save the environment. They are the tools that will help save the Mother Nature.
In my opinion, the ADULTS were the one to blame. How can they tell us what to do when they themselves are causing the problems?
Let me tell you that the adults are the one responsible for these problems. Who are those who cut trees? ADULTS. Who are those who throw their chemical waste from the factory? ADULTS. Who are those who builds buildings and houses at some lands filled with trees? ADULTS. Who are the cause for modernization? ADULTS.
What are the TEENAGERS doing? Saving the earth for the SMILE of the FUTURE.
So, the HOPE of the future, US, that will become an adult someday, at least knows whom to blame. So, thinking of blaming oneself, makes us think to do things in a better way. So, let’s stop blaming others. Let’s blame ourselves and become an ENVIRONMENTALIST. Don’t call youself young, call yourself a MATURE PERSON who thinks of the future and aims for the SMILE of the future people.
So, I hope you’ll be an environmentalist someday in your own way. You don’t need to attend YES camps or any organization. All you need is a realization of wanting to see the smiles of the future generation. Let’s unite and save mother earth.
TEENS in different personalities, let’s change our outfit and show them that we share the same dreams- the dream of saving the EARTH.
That would be all, thank you.
YOUNG ADULTS
8:47 AM
Young adults, upon hearing these words, what comes into your mind?
Young Adults, the stage where I belong to. It is another name being called to teenagers.
Now, let’s jump to the main TOPIC (what’s the main topic, eh?). The main topic of this so-called blog is about the Young Adults Ministry (or YA Ministry). So why is your title only Young Adults? It is because I’m talking about the Young adults in Young Adults ministry. So, I’m just making it short and brief. Get it?
YA Ministry? What is it? Well, it’s a community formed by elders in order to unite all the teens (or young adults) to get closer to God. It is a community where the TEENS find time to thank God, to worship Him, to ask forgiveness and etcetera.
Young Adults Ministry is a religious community that was started by a small group then began to grow into a community as time passes by. Teens gather together all in one to share the same faith with one another. Of course, the COMMUNITY was managed and organized by Titas and Titos who are members of some Communities (for ADULTS) like ABP (Ang Buhing Pulong), KSD (Kahayag sa Diyos), BSD (Banay sa Diyos), Couples for Christ and many more nationwide.
Luckily, I was invited in this said COMMUNITY and began my YA life for GOD since I was grade 6.
Now, let’s talk about my latest camp (last summer).
Last summer (around May), we had a Mindanao-wide summer camp at the Folk Arts Theater, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. Of course, the said camp was hosted by Malaybalay (duh! Who else?). Though it is Mindanao-wide, some OUTSIDERS (LOL), I mean some YAs from Manila joined (there were 26 of them, I think?).
It was the first Mindanao wide (plus Manila) Y.A. camp ever! My last camps back then were only joined by CDO and Bukidnon (*sighs). Well, anyways, it was also the BEST camp I’ve ever attended. Why? Let me tell you in a story-like manner. (*winks)
I wasn’t really excited for the camp but I was really looking forward to it. I have many purposes in joining this camp. Words are entering my head as I was thinking about this so-called camp: “I hope I could go back to where God is. I think I lost my soul anywhere. I lost my spirituality because of being in this REAL world. I’ve been receiving so many things that I have taken for granted. I wanna go back to where God is. I’m LOST.” I also thought silly things in my mind like: “I hope cute guys will appear. I’m so sick of Malaybalay guys.” Or even “I hope I could meet new friends and maybe have time to chitchat with them. It would be awesome”. It was quite funny thinking about my OTHER purposes and it makes me look silly smiling for no reason at all (at least for those who aren’t mind readers).
So, when the time is finally up, I sighed and got my bags lazily, pretending to JUST go into an ordinary camp and bid goodbye to my housemates (smiles). I rode something then I reached my destination on time, I think (^^). When I stepped close to the registration area, I saw different people anywhere (hmm…why am I looking at them? Looking for someone cute? LOL). Well honestly, in my heart, was hoping there would be SOMEONE cute (hehe). So, when I sighed (again) for I fail to find someone, I continued doing what I suppose to do (to register). After blahblahs and nahnahs in registering, I sat in a very comfortable chair near me and relaxed. I waited for my companions for about a minute or so. When they (finally) arrived, I jumped off from my chair and greeted them with a ‘not-so-excited’ face. I waited for them to register and we pitched our tent and do our blablahs and nahnahs for about an hour. It was really tiring. After we rested, I looked for something to eat, but I forgot to bring something (because I wasn’t really excited okay?). So, I moaned in HUNGER (not anger) but I guess no one’s really willing to share something (so sad ). So, I just sat down and waited for whatever WILL happen. Then after that, it’s the start of OUR camp (yippee! Oops! I’m not suppose to be excited.)
So, why are we talking about me? It was suppose to be a blog about TEENAGERS. Not ME-AGERS! LOL. Okay, haven’t you noticed why I am blabbing about my self? Well, let me tell you so read carefully. I am a TEENAGER and my point of views and doings may be the same as some other TEENIES. Like, to be a PRETENDER , a God-fearing or a desperate-to-see-a-cute-guy type. My point of views could possibly a TEEN point of view and if you’ll know these kinds of stuffs, you could actually understand why a teenager is acting that way. So, mind your own biz! Anyways, who am I talking to?
Now, lets cut my intro into a NOT-SO-STORY-MANNER to make this entry short (short, eh?).
Well, while I was on the camp, of course, I saw different types of TEENAGERS (that surprised me to death, *winks). It really makes me say, whoooooaaaahhh too many times in a row. Well, I wasn’t really surprised because of their types, okay? Let’s make this clear – I WAS SURPRISED BY THEIR SPIRITUAL STRENGTH despite their types. Who would have thought that a very aloof fellow would raise HER/HIS hand into the air and close HER/HIS eyes to sing praises to Him? HE/SHE, who forgets everything just to thank GOD for everything SHE/HE has despite being seen by many people doing strange things (at least what ‘others’ thought). Where’s her aloofness in there?
Who would have thought that a very maarte GIRL would shout to the Lord how she loves him with all her might? Who would have thought that a GUY with tons of vices would cry in front of many people just to show that HE is sorry for the bad things that he has done? Think about it! Think about many different teenagers that would do the same thing as the person I mentioned above? Did it ever touch your heart? Did it ever made you wonder how GOD makes things possible through HIM?
Typing and thinking those words made my eyes teary. It was touching and great. We realized that the TEEN may wear a different kind of outfit, but in reality, HE/SHE wears the same KIND of outfit as the others do when it comes to GOD.
So ladies and gentlemen, let’s accept it. Don’t judge a person immediately with an outside personality. If that person is bad, it doesn’t mean that he never thought of GOD because he does bad things. We’ll just have to admit that in reality, we always look for THAT person’s bad doings and we tend to forget what he has done good. That person may thought about God and he always ask forgiveness everytime he does bad things. But, we don’t know if that’s true or not. My point is, don’t JUDGE a BOOK by its cover. You certainly understand that right?
So, maybe, that’s the purpose of having the YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY. It is to show everyone’s inner self towards God and maybe forget the REAL, PROBLEMATIC and CHAOTIC world we are facing. It is because in GOD, we are facing HEAVEN that is opposite to the real world. We are facing a HEAVEN that has the environment of humbleness, brotherhood, spirituality and kindness to one another. So, in every YA camp, I am now excited. Excited to find myself again and be in HEAVEN with my fellow YAs and with GOD.
That’s all pals, thank you.
May GOD be with you. Join the YA or at least be like the YAs and experience heaven with GOD.
Muah. Muah!
